About Me

I am a developer and test with over a decade of experience. I have a pragmatic attitude to development but I am not sure if that makes me a pragmatic programmer..

I have a focus in finding better ways to get jobs done, mainly with a focus on tools, networking and databases - almost any task can provide opportunities to discover and learn new things.

Why Python?

I have been using Python for about 7 years (maybe more) - originally, I found it useful to build network based test tools and much easier than Perl to get going in.

Misc

Last year, I developed parts of the apps for Pycon2006, giving the conference admins an easier way to update the database of talks, speakers, rooms etc and allowing attendees to build and print their own custom timetable.
